It took us a while, but we got there in the end and FLYER is now available on your iPad. Right now you'll find the June issue along with a couple of back issues. In the near future we'll be adding more issues and...
I flicked through a copy at Aerofair, and was extremely disappointed with the standard of photograph reproduction. Can't think why they were so bad, as the standard is normally excellent in Flyer.
Many airfield require an element of air side travel by car, not covered under a normal motor policy,to get bags, washing materials and similar from the car to the aircraft.
As an example at Elstree the Carpark outside Pooleys is accessed by passing...

I read with interest your article on the Morse Code tutor (Flyer, May 2003, page 62). It may interest your readers to know that there are, in fact, many many Morse tutors available on the Internet. These often are designed for the amateur radio...
And what a bloody good series it looks like its going to be as well!
I was very impressed with the first episode....although it was a slight shame that the cameras inside the aircraft were not gyro-stabalised....they were a bit shakey!
Does any body...
Help
Does anyone know when C5's programme Flying School has been re-scheduled for. It was supposed to be on Dec 1st 9.00pm
according to the gospel of Flyer Mag but all listings say otherwise.
Answers of a sympathetic nature would be appreciated.
Dear fellow flyers,
I contribute to the RAF section in my school and have gone on many flights. I have enjoyed them so much that I would like flying to be my future career. After some research on which type of pilot I would like to be, I decided...
Current issue has....wait for it....113 pages! Nice and thick for a change. Well done chaps, having had a flick through, I'm going to enjoy this issue.
Bottom right corner, page 25, February 03 Flyer magazine.
...since Lindbergh first crossed the Atlantic, they remarkably reliable is just a typo - and from the 2 photos It's easy to spot the state of a spark plug, as they wear noticeably.
Hi
Does anyone know when the Channel 5 program Flying School is going to be screened, or has it already been screened? I have not seen it in the radiotimes.
Obviously realising that the fiasco that the Millenium Dome has been, Microsoft Flight Sim 2002 in their infinite wisdom have relocated the aforementioned item to nearer the culprits, i.e., just opposite the Houses of Parliament. Has anyone else...
Ever thought of having a really sexy centrefold of a beautiful bird, with lovely curves and a really lovely pair. Can I suggest the first one should be a Dragon Rapide !!! ?
When you take out a subscription to flyer it said you can get money off from various places. Is there a comprehensive list as I am being dim and cannot find it!!
Can anyone recommend an insurance company that will provide travel insurance for aviators? My wife and I have an annual policy but I discovered last time I was in America that it doesn't cover me for flying (except as a passenger in a licensed...
I wasn't going to bother, but I've just seen Tony2's post on this forum of 13 December, in which he mentions, (as a 'resigned' thought in passing), the numerous typo's which he (all of us?) have now had to become used to in the Flyer magazine.
The...

Chris McGine
by Neil Gascoigne
- Mon Nov 25, 2002 4:37 pm
Chris McGine, contributing on Five's fly-on-the-wall documentary, has clearly got his terminology wrong. Chris refers to an aeroplane as a crate . Well, I think it's time for a correction.
A crate is what you turn up to the airfield in. A kite ,...
if anyone here has flight sim 2002 and is running Just Flight's A320 Professional add-on then please leave your email address below, as i will contact you asking advice on a little problem i am having, cheers guys
This months deliberate mistake? (No I don't mean the typos, I'm used to those).
Where's the end of the story? Are only a couple of words missing or a paragraph or more?
Maybe you can post the remaining text here Nick?
Having read articles in recent editions of 'Flyer' about the organised Fly Ins run from the forums - was keen to find out which forums they were discussed / arragned in & when / where other fly in's may take place ?
Perhaps I'm missing something but I thought this forum was supposed to cover the FLYER Airportal or Magazine. Recent offerings appear to be a bit adrift from this.
Are the links going to be mended? All I seem to get is a page of warnings like...
Is it possible that we could have little signatures to put on the end of our posts. I noticed an excellent one on another forum which said What if the Hokey Cokey IS what it's all about . Also some flashing smileys would be...
Does anyone know if, following my PPL(A) (which I expect to complete Spring/Summer '03) I can take CPL and Flight Instructor rating - then teach to raise funds to continue through ATPL training? Has anyone tried this, or have any ideas, URLs,...
I am looking for a copy of the January 1999 issue of Flyer. I am specifically interested in the article reviewing the FFA Bravo AS202, an aircraft I recently purchased. Anybody out there with a copy? Much obliged (Flyer Mag does not have any back...
I am trying to find guidance concerning the proper completion and use of JAA form one to assist me in my work. Can anyone help me or tell me where I can look?
...aren't where the index in the November 2002 issue says they are (on that page, there's an article about jets); don't have the magazine to hand, but a casual flick through the magazine couldn't locate them.

Date format

Could you change the date format on the forums to DD-MM-YY I think this will make forum far more friendly.
I was recently invited by post to renew my FLYER subscription. I can't remember the exact price but it was close to going to the shop and buying it. The same month in FLYER there is form to join at a substantialy reduce rate. So much for LOYALTY....
