Has anyone out there any experience of flying UK to Spain? I'm planning a trip in a Cessna 172SP down to an airfield called Muchamiel also known as Muxtamel to the north of Alicante. I've flown to Switzerland and into France but never to Spain....

Anyone any ideas what's happening at EGBO ? NOTAM shows that the airfield has switched from ATC to FIS, with the IAP and ATIS being withdrawn. What's happened to the ATCOs ?

Or have flown there? Do they accept visitors? If so is it PPR and how much would they charge?

Idiotic though it is, my machine needed 2 letters of its reg replacing (on the underneath) due to wear and tear. They had to be a certain size and I had a choice of font (take it or leave it :wink: )

At 10 am today the QNH was 1007. At 13.45 it is nearly 1014. I don't think I have ever seen pressure rise so quickly.

The pressure gradient from the South coast to north of Scotland is about 40mB.

Nobody we know I hope. I couildn't catch the reg from the TV, but at least it would appear that the occupant(s) are safe if bruised.

I now know from a previous post that if the Atmospheric Thickness is below 528 then any precipitation is likely to fall as snow. However looking at the charts, along with the 528 line, the 546 line is also generally marked.
