If you fly 'SEP' on an NPPL, (for want of a better term), have you read the latest AIC (3/2004 white 92) issued January 8th 2004 on the subject of keeping the rating valid? If so, what do you think?

We've had lots of discussion regarding the merits of Pooleys, AFE, Bottlang etc., but what about the IFR options? I guess there are of choices for approach plates...Jepps, Aerad or the plates available through AIS, (at least for the UK and France)....

My new plane has come complete with W 15W-50 synthetic oil, and the vendor suggested that this was the best type to use. (Lycoming IO-540)

Does anyone have any experience / knowledge of using this oil, as opposed to the more usual W80 / W100...

I didnt beleive a freind when he mentioned that concorde does'nt have a elevator near the rudder.

Why does concorde have a elevator on it's wings and not near the tail of the plane like other conventional jets?

If I have done all the necessary training/hours for the night 'rating' but havn't yet sent my license to the CAA to be stamped, can I still excersie the privilage of the night rating ?
