Please, let's not have unrequested sounds on the website ads.

Seconded. It's just started today, and I find it most annoying. Especially ads that don't provide an option to turn it off

Very annoying, went straight to my sound control for the mute button - that is one destination ruled out until they stop annoying me with the add, a good demo of negative advertising I would say!

advert for Cranfield Flight Training School, Cranfield Airport at the top of this page next to the Flyer Air Portal strap, with noisy keyboard sounds. Took me a while to suss out wtf was going on: I thought initially my keyboard was on the blink. I have to reach for the mute button each time I log on. Ian? Edit to be more specific where the blame lies.. Peter

I don't have that advert... but I'm really curious now. That's not fair! Ian?

Me, too. Had a panic at first, thought my almost new netbook was about to suffer HDD failure, or I'd picked up one of those annoying but mostly harmless viruses that does that sort of thing. Quickly closed the browser and it went away. Thanks for posting, Pete, am reassured it wasn't just me.

Pete - thanks for that - I had just been turning my laptop upside down to get the fairies out. I thought I might have upset them...

Me too on all counts, though I was reassured that turning the speaker volume down diminished it.

I thought that it was T's magical fairy car hacking my login and typing "T is fab, and always right" in my name all over the Forum.
