WX permitting Waveflyer and I are planning to fly to Pembrey EGFP for lunch this Saturday if any forumite is interested in meeting there. Evidently they are doing free landings for Feb.

Sounds like fun. I've left it a bit late, but if I can get a plane booked I'll join you.

Someone else has our aeroplane on Saturday, but it's a short enough ground hop that I might bus or train down and join you.

May want to phone and check the cafe is infact open, it can be a bit erratic.

Failingt hat there's a good pub down the road (or was last time I was around there)

So far we have three aircraft confirmed from Glos, 182, RV-9A,RV-4 and a Jodel from Oaksey.

Pembrey confirm the range will be closed and the restaurant open.

Methinks at least one of the Bournemouth Grumpy old sods may be there around Saturday (twentyoneth) lunchtime'ish.
I can confirm that the "Pub down the road" is quite good - If it's the one we went to, a taxi is required.

I managed to book Charlie Charlie from 1100-1600. What time are you leaving? Are you meeting up at Glos beforehand?

I am flying on my own and I was going to suggest we shared but if you are fixed up that's fine. I was intending to be at Cotswold at about 1000.

Shame, I'd quite like to have come with you. I'll see you at the club then.

Quite a nice gathering for lunch at the airfield cafe.
Although everyone seemed too shy to mingle (me included!) everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves
There was a very neat looking RV4 - (mucho envy)
Did anyone else see the scores of paragliders hanging off the coast of the Gower Peninsular (just west of Worms Head)?
Beautiful weather back to Bournemouth with lots of holding to accommodate the departing Ryanair traffic.

Well organized, Steve - that was a relaxing day out.

Nice to see Leia and "The Weathermen" again.

Apologies to Joe for not taking the time to look over his RV, but the sun was low enough when I got back.

Suffering from new C182 envy... :D

Lovely to see everyone - it was a fair old sized group in the end. Special congrats to those that came from further afield than Glos. And thanks to Steve for kicking it all off. Unusually, I put a forum name to a face today rather than the other way round - Pete L, the penny's dropped!

That was a pity G1. We assumed all the forumites were at our table. Perhaps we need some sort of ID system.
