USA Coast to Coast - and back again

Postby Katamarino » Tue Jul 05, 2011 2:40 pm

Hello all,

I'm slowly updating my website and have completed the write-up of my first long trip; 5 weeks to fly in a C172SP from Florida to California and back again. I hope it's of some interest!

I'm still working at the site and will add reports of another USA trip, and the Tunisia trip, before moving onto airfield resources and other things. If anyone has any suggestions, don't hesitate to say.

Your long trip

Postby dmatlock41 » Thu Oct 13, 2011 6:22 pm

Good for you! At least doing the trip... your write up took some time in coming! I find it appealing that a 150 hour pilot managed to talk his girlfriend into a trip that long. I'm gonna show my wife (who's frightened of plane) your story. Maybe it will inspire her to join up on my next cross country.

BTW I'll be doing instrument training at Palm Beach with an instructor from PIC. I'm glad to see they are willing to let planes go for weeks. That is rather unusual.
