I mean generate the sequence of charts automatically, with a slight overlap.

Yep - it will output a sequence of charts with one click that covers your route.

SkyDemon for iPad 2.3.4 is back in the App Store where it belongs. Here's a list of the new stuff in this build.
The DI instrument can now be dragged out to produce the HSI/ILS instrument, or collapsed to produce the course correction indicator Airspace boundaries are now intelligently merged so only the extremities of controlled and dangerous airspace are highlighted Analysis virtual radar is now enabled, for vertical inspection of track logs User waypoints can now be imported in bulk to SkyDemon for iPad using iTunes file sharing Aircraft definitions not in the aircraft library can now easily be added to the library when editing Aircraft definitions are now stored in the Documents folder for easier sharing with desktop computers running SkyDemon NOTAM are now saved permanently in case of application restart without internet connection

Full marks to Tim and team for fixing the problem and getting the update approved by Apple in 24 hours. Great product and a great team supporting it. I flew today and love the new HSI as well as vertical breadcrumb tracklog feature

Well done - amazingly quick bug fix - great service on a truly great product! Tiny little thing I noticed on mine - playing with the simulator mode and the new HSI (which is great by the way!) - when playing with a previously saved route the course deviation indicator on the HSI works fine. When using a route that I've just created to use but not yet saved the CDI does not indicate correctly. Anyone else get this?? (Dunno if this would be the same in real navigation mode rather than the sim - not tried it yet!)

The updated version looks great. All yesterday's problems fixed. Love the HSI.
Who knows how to get the userwaypoints in? Copying them onto the iPad via iTunes is straightforward and the userwaypoints.XML file appears on the iPad. However, when I start Skydemon on the iPad it seems to delete the file and I don't see the waypoints I had on the PC. Please can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

Hi Tim,
Got the latest iPad version and current maps - the Isle of Man seems to have disappeared! Roads and aerodata are still there but no coastline or terrain.

Thanks Paul,
I went back into the charts updater and the UK was still showing an update was needed, so maybe there was an error this morning when I updated UK and Ireland (Ireland was up to date this time)
Looks fine now after updating.

It may not be immediately obvious that the HSI/ILS can be resized by pinching. Also, to enable glideslope, you need to go into Setup/Navigation Options.
The ILS function is very nifty if used with caution. My fear is that it will be used by some without enough caution. I guess the same can be said for any tool.
