Check out the temporary revisions to the Cessna propeller AMM's.

It's been on the cards for a while and I'd expect a decent engineering company to be already inspecting for corrosion on older airframes.
Cessna have simply put a directed plan in place.

Expect other manufacturers to come up with their own schemes, if they haven't already.

Same thing. It's the Cessna Propeller Aircraft Service Manual Temporary Revisions detailing the Corrosion prevention and Control Program for ageing aircraft.

Go to https://support.cessna.com/custsupt/csu ... wlogin.jsp and sign up for access to the bulletins.

Exactly what Colin said, Propeller AMM ( Aircraft maintenance manual ).
Some of the S.I.D's to be complied with before June 2014.

Oh, so a maintenance manual for a propeller driven aircraft rather than anything propeller related?

It triggered alarm bells in my head thinking about the Lycoming crankshaft thing.

:D

I think I'd have been ok as I assume I do have a hollow crankshaft, but also I I have VP prop, so it's used for its intended purpose of sticking oil down the middle! Is this the case? (IO-360-A1B6)
