If the Court in Strasbourg had decided the other way, we would already have had 97 ROG threads of spluttering outrage. The silence of the Forum thus far on this topic rather demonstrates the point that "bloke does blag, gets banged up" is not news or discussion-worthy, whereas the much rarer "bloke gets away with it" provokes heated debate and much purpleness of face.
Just as the Court got it right on Abu Qatada (don't rely on evidence obtained by torture - it's not British), so the Court has got it right on Abu Hamza (uber-tough prisons do not amount to torture - off you go and face trial in the US). The Daily Mail must be spitting blood.

There is, as I understand it, a three month appeal window still open to these people. Perhaps Rog is like me, waiting to see if the body ever actually gets put on the aircraft and leaves.

Swifter justice might attract more public confidence. Not read today's online Mail yet - that's for tonight - but if they make any point, I suspect it would be that one.
Cheering up a bit with grumpy spells later
Delaying tactics by the git's lawyers have undoubtedly delayed things, but the two governments, US and UK, may also have dragged their feet. Also, the Strasbourg backlog of cases (mostly from`Eastern Europe, not the UK, which wins most of its cases in Strasbourg) has not helped.

Still thousands of other criminals making endless appeals--making lawyers richer--and of course the literally hundreds of thousands of disappeared illegals. Apparently our border controls are not fit for purpose--words of keith vaz-not mine--well there"s a surprise.
They should ship him out before the three month appeal period is up, just in case the judges get cold feet or get nobbled (ducks and runs):

One swallow doesn"t make a spring----it"s a start but we"re only in this situation because of the yoghurt eaters.
The yoghurt eaters and, worse still, yoghurt knitters are annoying, but have rather less influence on things than you and they suppose, ROG.
