Just joined this forum, bit surprised to see a music section! I'm a guitar teacher for the County Council working in schools. Do some composing/recording as well, into most types of music from Purcell to Zappa. Used to gig a lot but can't be bothered/no good paying gigs around anymore, still do the odd one or two. Have a JAR PPL plus a silver in gliding and regularly enjoy frightening myself.

Probably incorrect, but I'm not going to worry about it. The music forum is a "Guest" (rather like a Guest ale) introduced for a short period about 4½ years ago. It replaced the cricket forum, which seems to have made a comeback. Pilots tend to like music; some even play it.

Welcome to the Forum Dave, Just started playing guitar again (see thread below) I'm more at the straight & level phase at the moment to be honest, so could possibly be in need of your assistance at some point, where are you based?

Welcome Dave56. I'm a piano (& other odds & sods) teacher and still do plenty of jazz gigs - that pay! (In fact, they pay for my flying....)

Hi. I moderate this forum with a light hand. Occasionally I will take the pi$$ which will probably be the worst extent of it as this is a forum which, by it's nature, is unlikely to generate that much controversy. But if you look a bit further into the pi$$ take you will see my message. Now and again Keef will come along and post something in blue on someone else's post. I haven't been able to fathom it out yet. See what I did there?
CPL, IMC, FI(A)... And a beige devil.
