Thank you, Dave!

Do you know GtE through Proon or through the Real World?

Real world. (If "real" can be applied to either of the Civil Service or academic environments in which our paths have crossed. ;))

Some great articles on the RBR in the August edition of Microlight Flying magazine... Stunning photography with one of them, too. :D

While looking up this thread to forward to someone I realised I hadn't added the icing on the cake...

At the BWPA Christmas Lunch I was delighted to receive two trophies in recognition of this event. The first I was alerted to a little in advance, but the second really wasn't expected:

The Faith Bennet Navigation Trophy "for a navigation exercise of special interest or one that stretches the experience of the pilot to their limit".

The Chairwoman's Challenge. This changes annually but they had just decided to move to a two year period to allow more time for people to enter. The theme: a rally or competition flight. It wasn't going to be awarded in 2012, but they decided I deserved it!

The nominations are meant to be anonymous, but I know exactly who was involved. Many thanks both. I am still very chuffed and the full award citation has to be handled with care for fear I won't be able to get my head through the door.

Citations can be a little small but you should handle it with care, Is it the Citation pilot P1 that you can spot because of his head leaning right? :D

I thought Citation pilots had one arm longer than the other from the huge watch they wear.
