Anyone going to Sun n Fun next year?

Postby pb6797 » Sat Dec 22, 2012 10:35 pm

A pal and I are hoping to get our checkouts and (if we're confident) fly ourselves in from Kissimmee.

Is it worth taking a Flyer lanyard :thumright: ?

Paul...is this the flying trip to FL you mentioned when I was talking about revalidating? If so, I might just have changed my mind about Jerez...

Wow, looks like we may be invading the place at that rate of reply!

I've booked a villa so have a spare room or two if need be ...

You've booked a villa?! Oooh... you're posh, innit!

Does it have a pool?

Yep, private screened pool :-)

No need to mix with the hoi-polloi!

Ah, well, I'm probably too common for that. Could I camp on the front lawn though? I assume the peacocks wouldn't be too territorial?

The grounds open out onto a nature reserve, so you could just bring your tobacco tin and pretend you'd been shot down :-)

Which, given some of my landings, you might think you had ...

Yup. I'll chat to you sometime over Christmas about it.

Well, I'm all set.

Checkout & training booked with Sunstate Aviation and I've also booked in for several hours of tailwheeling over in Lakeland itself.

Hope to see a couple of you out there at some point!

Will be there for three days, at least if United Airlines actually manages to process my booking.

Good to hear there will be one friendly face - my mate's dropped out so I'm going to be rattling around on my own for the week. I'll PM you the address if you feel like dropping by ;-)
