Mono, I wasn't having a dig at you (or anyone specifically). But two posters had previously stated that they did "swagger in as if the owned the place".
Lefty, I made that comment with tongue firmly in cheek, I don't think people would think me that arrogant (unless i am being deliberately an ass to get a reaction), but at the same time if you do walk into any sort of building with an air of confidence half the time you won't be challenged.....

Strange, that. Only a fortnight ago a friend and his father were turned away. It's not the turning away that irks, it's the inconsistency. Name, a/c reg and date available to those who think I'm embellishing.
Seriously speaking now, is there a preferred dress code? The only correlation I can see is that he and I (separate occasions) were both wearing jeans. Otherwise, reasonably well presented. Are jeans less favourable?
Other than that, Steve, I'd agree its a fine place, if one is allowed in.
I'm tempted to give it yet another go and fly in if I get a chance and meet you tomorrow Ed. Please can you pass me a sandwich through the window?!!

I find this difficult to fathom. Send me the details of this fly-in visitor that was turned away from the clubhouse and I will seek clarification from the Managing Director of the airfield.
On dress code, clothing is preferred.
For everyone else: If you fly in you are a temporary member and can use the clubhouse, so there is no reason not to visit.
Mono - I'll likely be in jeans and a hoody, and am currently sporting a dodgy looking half grown 'tache for Movember. If you make it and they don't' like the look of us we'll jump in the car and find the nearest KFC / Maccy Ds

I could be tempted to take the 230SL out for a blast tomorrow. Fancy some more company for lunch, and if so what time?
PS No Movember, but am cultivating some 1960s-Jackie-Stewart-esque sideburns to go with the car
