de Havilland Moth Club Charity Flying Weekend

Postby vintage ATCO » Sun Sep 30, 2012 8:55 pm

Postponed from June, we are now holding the Charity Flying Weekend at Old Warden on 13/14 October. We have around 50 young people to fly whose flights have been sponsored by Moth Club members but then we are open to fly anyone. First come, first served. Several different types will be available, subject to serviceability and weather. Flights are £95.

This will probably be our last year of charity flights. Many Moths are moving over to Permits and many pilots are moving over the 60yo barrier hence the need to interest new young people.

Please come and support us. We would welcome chaperones/strapper inners (if you are familiar with Moffs) or general dogsbodies (unpaid).

Entry to the Shuttleworth Collection and other Shuttleworth attractions at their standard rates.

And not forgetting that the MG owners club are having a driving Rally on the sunday to Old Warden.

Over 100 MG's expected.
Beyond the blue horizon
Waits a beautiful day.
I see a new horizon.
My life has only just begun.
Beyond the blue horizon lies a rising sun

Had a good day today, flew a lot of people especially children. Few heavy showers towards the end of the day but the wind stayed virtually calm despite a forecast crosswind of 10kt.

120 MGs expected tomorrow but there was a lovely Austin Healey 3000 there today *Want one!!*
