Dunno... I didn't see any Arrived about 1100 and left about 1345. Very enjoyable day, well done to all at Filton. Mrs Moli particularly enjoyed the cake Moli

I was wearing mine, but didn't spot any others. Sorry not to have met you, Jenny & Moli. Maybe GA pilots simply have poor observational skills. Err...

I regret I didn't have mine on. Arrived approx 11.00 - left just about 12.30.
I thought the arrivals got a bit manic and at times a little more dangerous than I have experienced in a very long time. We were goven a squawk and radar vectored onto final - then found ourselves about 50 ft above a high wing Technam - with him in our blindspot. If the tower controller hadn't spotted it ........ He can't have been doing more than 50kts - at 2.5 nm from the threshold.
Big scramble for departure - no one could get a word in edgeways.

There was some interesting runway occupancy going on too....landing very close behind someone already on the RW and then pulling across the RW with someone landing very close behind on the other side of the RW still at speed Moli

We arrived just after 11:00, and left at 2:30. Arrival was manic, with three orbits over the old Severn Bridge, and one more on an extended downwind. I think things might have been smoother if we'd just been left to get on with it. I forgot to put on The Lanyard but didn't spot any others! Had a chat with Mr. & Mrs Moli, and a few other faces I recognised, and spent a fascinating half an hour or so in the Bolingbroke hangar. It still sticks in the craw that the place will shut. It's a nonsense that we have major British cities without sensible GA facilities accessible to those other than top end business aviation.

I'm pretty sure you departed behind me. Was it you who wanted to maintain runway heading out of the ATZ and then go to Bristol?

We left as inbound 83 approached. I thought the tower did an excellent job, bearing in mind the mix of aircraft. Thanks also to all the cooks for the excellent spread. Shame we will not be able to visit again.

Yes that was us, we went left thru the Bristol overhead to avoid all the inbounds...pity we didn't meet on the ground instead of in the queue. Moli

That's good, AFKAE. Does anybody know if any of the photogs' pictures are on the web somewhere? I always like to see pictures of my aircraft airborne.

It was my birthday this week so I talked Mrs AFKAE in to getting me the NFlightcam+. Transair have got it bundled with the mount and a bigger SD card on "special offer." It was mounted on the highest, furthest back part of the canopy. It uses a good quality suction device which works well on the perspex. The only problem with the central mounting is the headset lead has to drape across you at some point. I think next time I might try it mounted on my side of the canopy.

My first big fly-in in my cub... I enjoyed it, glad I have it in my logbook. Well done those who sorted it all out. I hope they raised a good amount of money... cheers TWP

some here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... e4ef2a85ab[I 'phoned from Croft Farm when I'd finished flying Scout Leaders at their Camp, asking if I would be allowed a low pass to wave, as my passenger's father was meant to be down there, taken by a friend from Hinton-i-t-H. I was given a landing slot But a lot of people had clearly already left by the time we landed, including the father, and there was a queue of only 3 to leave when we left .. great day, thanks to all, organisers, ATC, minibus driver, BBQers, .. Very nostalgic for me: 1st time at Filton was in AEF Chipmunk (1978), last time in 2003]
