Not 'our' Philip Whiteman then...

Postby Irv Lee » Thu Jan 03, 2013 11:30 am

I saw a tickertape of news yesterday that some killer who had escaped from detention under the Mental Health Act had been recaptured in Newcastle, and noted his name was (apparently) Philip Whiteman. So I realised it wasn't 'G.A.' Philip Whiteman (as he wouldn't be in Newcastle... ;-) ). This morning I woke up to find the news was talking about Phillip Westwater being recaptured etc etc and for about an hour I was convinced I had for some unknown reason 'seen' Westwater on the ticker but some strange translation in my head had converted it to Whiteman - very worrying! However, just browsed a news website and find the Newcastle escapee is known by both names plus a nickname, and it's not me with some subconscious worry about 'our' Philip!

Should this thread be renamed "Is Irv losing it?" ;-)

If either of you two have a black dog, I might hire Philip when he gets out again
