Technical Consultant to the Oil/Shipping/Marine Insurance Industry. Spend most of my time investigating and rectifying contaminations to crude oil, LPG, petroleum products & petrochemicals on tankers or in refineries worldwide.
I have been Commercial Manager for a big brickwork trade contractor for 10 years and am currently Project Manager for the brickwork facade at Tate Modern 2.
Actually, it was seawater and bacterial contamination of Jet fuel (that same cargo is currently being distributed across East Africa following various treatment procedures and may well have been/will be used to fly Timothy home )

Your thinking in BP terms Josh, she's 110KT deadweight, but100KT+ Jet shipments are routine for the big trading companies. Typically load Mina or Sikka and discharge by multiple STS Singapore, East Africa or Gib.
However, in this picture, she was there only to receive 20KT of the tank bottoms from the contaminated vessel, and then to undertake biocide addition, filtration, and then internal blending with 80KT of other cargo.
Fair enough. Only ever carried Jet/Avgas coasting around Australia (which is a story and a liver transplant in itself). I don't envy the constant STS work though - I am not deeply enamoured with 6 on 6 off...
I know it's a silly username. If you've met me, I probably introduced myself as Josh...
