Weird Metoffice website problem

Postby johnm » Sat Dec 29, 2012 9:25 am

For a couple of weeks now the F215 and F214 website pages have failed to display properly in either Firefox or IE on my machine. They display the first inch of the map page and then stop. Anybody else seen this and have an answer?

Machine has Win7 up to date and I.E. 9 up to date and Firefox 17.0.1 also up to date.

Just checked and it is fine here - Win7 FF17.0.1.

I recently had a problem with another site (ancestry) and resolved it by clearing the cache and deleting that site's cookies, allowing them to be recreated. I'd try that.

There is an issue with Adobe Flash and the latest Firefox which I can only resolve by running an older version of Flash.

I seem to remember FF and IE use different versions of flash. You'll have to use an old one (or new one or whatever) for IE too, as in IE specific. I think Chrome uses the same one as IE too.

Thanks to all, the secret seemed to be to destroy all favourites, cookies and cache information and then follow the whole link and log in cycle from the Metoffice home page.
