Doctor Who's new totty. (now with spoiler)

Postby Rob P » Thu Dec 27, 2012 2:19 pm

I just wondered what the consensus is?

For me the series became unwatchable with the weakest Doctor for many years (Matt Smith) and the dreadful Scots bint.

Now having seen the Christmas Special I could maybe be persuaded to take up watching it again, though with fingers crossed that the next regeneration isn't too long delayed.

The new girlie had some great lines well delivered, but then it was a Moffat script.

It certainly had its diversity quotient, as did Outnumbered.

OTOH, killing the co-star in every episode hasn't been done for a while.

Not a tasty as Perry and Tegan in the Tom Baker days (Perry always wore a bikini top and Tegan always wore VERY tight skirts and blouses.

A deffo vote for Ms Coleman! Top totty with a figure as well.
I actually liked the Scots bint but she was a bit skinny. This new lady has it all. :cyclopsani:

None can ever replace the sadly deceased Elizabeth Sladen though.....

Although Deborah Watling came close..... :)

In my humble opinion the real missed opportunity was Carey Mulligan whose single stunning appearance as Sally Sparrow in the episode 'Blink' remains the stand-out of all time.

Agree about Sally Sparrow Rob. However, in the red dress playing Oswin the dalek, what more can I say?

She is, simply stunning:

I think the beeb missed an opportunity by not giving Sally Sparrow her own series!

They would have had a captive audience of pilots drooling, I mean studying the plot line :)

I was quite sad to see the demise of dalek Oswin as I thought she would make an excellent companion for the Dr, so I'm glad to see her return!

Dalek as a companion? But aren't there steps in the Tardis? Could be tricky ...

Loved this critique from her appearance as Oswin

A computer hacker in a red dress, she was enchanting in an elfin way – rather like a brunette, curvier, less annoying Fearne Cotton.

I am currently working up an idea to pitch to Stephen Moffat for a post-watershed episode which puts Clara/Oswin and Sally Sparrow in a steamy and intense sapphic relationship.

Ideally without Matt Smith appearing at any point

Yup, just bring in a decent Dr, and it will be great again.

Mind you, I wasn't hugely impressed with the Christmas special. It had some brilliant and funny lines, but they were holding together a weak plot. :(

I guess it was just so much better than the few Smith / Scots bird episodes I suffered through that it seemed really good.
