How can I delete an email reply being sent on Outlook?

Postby HowardC » Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:15 am

Does anyone know how I can delete a reply email in Outlook with these unusual circumstances?

I’m away from the UK for a while but can still receive my normal email via Outlook on my laptop. I cannot send any mail via my usual email provider which in this case has been a small blessing in disguise.

A spam email came through and when being deleted, invited me to click the usual Outlook “received” button that would send a reply. This would show that my email address was live. Obviously, I didn’t do this but the spam email was clever because when I closed the dialog box inviting me to send or not send a “received” message, it tried to send one anyway. Now, every time I download fresh email, Outlook tells me there was a problem in sending this one email. I could just leave it but it’s annoying me. I’ve looked in the “Outbox” but that’s empty. I’ve figured that a harsh way would be to save all my mail via export/import and then remove and reinstall Outlook. I can’t do this while I’m away and hoped one of you might know where the “reply” email would be lurking so that I can delete it.
