I agree the Hanes ones are pretty good value, having a few that have lasted well here, however my chosen bargain for visits (I was in us 4 times over last 12mths) is to go visit banana republic.
they have a good deal on undercrackers, (boxers type) the quality of which is far better than the hanes imho, 100% cotton and really snazzy designs and colours, I've a few that have done a good few years now and elastic good as new. (yes they get washed, no submarine procedures here)

I have some of these and they are good, but I still find the M&S ones ok. But then again, I might have had the last of the "good" ones as I haven't bought any since Christmas.

I also buy my trousers from K-Mart or Walmart.
