I just can't resist the chemtrails conspiracy

Postby Rob P » Sun May 20, 2012 1:09 pm

But out of interest, anybody know what the nozzle seen in the first clip here is venting?

Airliners (and presumably some military aircraft) that have a maximum landing weight lower than maximium take off weight ususally have fuel dump systems so that they can jettison fuel to get weight down in an emergency - ie if landing is necessary before the anticipated landing time.

As I understand it fuel dumping is only allowed in an emergency. Apparently lots happened on 9/11 as trans-atlantic flights were denied access to US airspace. My guess is that that's when those videos were taken.

What you couldn't see in that YouTube clip was the other 8 Boeings in the classic 'diamond 9' formation.

This is a genuine photograph of a United B777 dumping fuel. It was taken just over ten years ago at about 9am on a Tuesday morning in September.

I was sitting alongside the photographer at the time we started dumping fuel so can verify the authenticity - In fact it was me that pointed it out in the first place. I think he must have then walked back down the aircraft for better view as we were sitting further forwards and it didn't look quite so impressive!

Scenario: B777 cockpit.

Captain: (looking over co-pilots right shoulder) "Oooh, look over there!"
Co-Pilot: "Where?"
Captain: "There! We're losing fuel!"
Co-Pilot: "You've lost the plot, me old mugger. Let me go back to the aft cabin to check"

[Co-Pilot returns to cockpit with flash bulb just cooling] "Now then beelzebub, which button did you press?"

C'mon then...why was your 777 dumping? (you obviously survived, so it can't have been a dire emergency). And did you keep your job? 8)

There is a bit of a clue above, but would it help if I was more specific about the date?

It was Tuesday the 11th of September 2001.

You didn't say it which time zone you were in; that's my excuse.

I dare you to post the facts on the Chemtrails comments

You will get much reasoned argument that will refute your claim I suspect
