And how many matches this season did Man U win by scoring in added time? I lost count. So with all those matches, Man U didn't win, but the other side lost (apart from Fulham who were robbed of a penalty by biased refereeing)
Isn't it true (about to go out to the pub or I would work it out properly), if Utd had simply agreed to let City beat them 1-2 at Old Trafford a few months ago, Utd would have won the league?
I feel I should mention (although I have no interest in any sport, only an affinity with Robins ) that the mighty Cheltenham Robins defeated Torquay in the Div 2 promotion semi-final playoffs .. Just in case Forumites had not heard ..

No, I think the goal difference was more than 4. Nearer to 8 I think.

Exactly - but they were playing each other.... so MU goal difference would go down by 1 and MC up by one if they'd agreed 1-2 in advance. As it was, MU went down by 5, MC went up by 5. Ten 'gain' - so I guess that would mean they would have been completely level on GD too? I think MC would have won anyway, as with GD level, they would either then decide on Goals-for (Man City) or the combined results of the teams meeting (MC won both), but I can't remember which.

Ah yes, I'm just looking at goals scored. Gets confusing when the comps keep changing from goals scored to goal difference.
