Chill, Jim, you will get us lefties a bad name. Being a chav is a lifestyle choice. No one can choose not to be black, Jewish, gay, or whatever, and it is generally wrong to laugh at people because of involuntary characteristics (there are some slightly subtle exceptions: - I am allowed to tell Irish jokes; Timothy is allowed to tell Jewish jokes, but not vice versa, and so on). Laughing at vulgar behaviour does not put us on a slippery slope to somewhere with big ovens (except maybe Pizza Hut, which would be a bad thing).

Now my Evil Plan is complete, and I can go to bed leaving my mindless robo-minion Joe to stay up all night posting bollogs. woohoohoohoohoohoohoohoohoohoo, etc.
"Chav"' if applied to oneself is OK, when applied to you by someone else based on their opinion, I think that's not a choice. When they then use violence based solely on their choice to judge you as "Chav", well.......
Cue discussion on the nature of Chavism, it's habits and traditions .
GC implied I was of chavinistic bent on another thread, but I took no offence. I merely picked a few tranquiliser darts from my Burberry-type Nylo-Cottonette TM Smoking Jacket, drew it tighter around me and, with as much dignity as I could muster, let Tyson out for a carp in next door's garden. I don't expect him to visit violence upon me merely due to my choice of attire (though there are, admittedly, manifold other reasons why he may wish to deliver me a really good smack in the maaaaf).
