Can anyone recommend a school to learn ppl at blackpool airport. I went to one school the other day but don't want to rush into paying for lessons if there are better about.

Try Westair. I finished my PPL there and could not fault them.

There are several good schools at Blackpool, I suggest you visit each and spend some time talking to the instructors or duty manager(s).

You will soon get an idea by yourself which company you wish to spend your time and money with.

Whatever you do don't pay a lump sum up front.

When i started at blackpool i had a trail lesson at each school and would recomend you do the same to find the club/aircraft/instructors you prefere. I chose Westair and they have been brilliant. They where mid range in prices compared to over schools but i found the instructors to be excellent so well worth a visit.
