Re: Official V-speed definitions? You can see the FAA's list here.
Add VYSE Speed for best rate of climb with one engine out (on a twin). I'm sure the CAA etc lists are around, but this list'll do for most folks. Keef

Don't know if you've seen this already, but Wikipedia's Big Book of Lies has this:

Re: Official V-speed definitions? Thanks all, I've seen these other lists but was curious if there are official definitions from EASA and/or CAA.

Re: Official V-speed definitions?I'm a very fussy person and like to find official sources of information, LASORS helps to an extent, but no definitions

Re: Official V-speed definitions?I suspect the answer will be hiding somewhere in the CS-23/CS-25 type documents.
Edit: http://www.easa.europa.eu/agency-measur ... nt%202.pdf at pp21 et seq has a list of basic definitions, but nothing particularly technical.
Re: Official V-speed definitions? You're right, Keef, and that's odd! There's pages and pages in Stinton's Flying Qualities and Flight Testing of the Aeroplane at pp123-126, which does feature Vyse. Don't know why the Eurotechs didn't feature it in the Definitions. If I have the time I'll poke around in CS-25, in which it is certain to be hiding.
Re: Official V-speed definitions? Thanks all, much better.

I agree - it's a useful first stab at a list, but there are some surprising omissions - for example, Vno is missing.
