Speaking of hard work and deserving cases:
Does going to bed on Sept 16th not qualifying for a 3 year instructor revalidation and then waking up on Sept 17th qualifying for one count as an achievement? (EASA changed the hours "pattern" required for revalidaton at midnight)

All updated.

Nice to see another couple of IMC (oops I mean IR(R)) passes to add to the list, especially Mrs Denopa - impressive to have both members of the family able to handle cloudy conditions.

Congrats to TimE, DarrenL too.

Does going to bed on Sept 16th ....and then waking up on Sept 17th ... count as an achievement?

Well as long as it wasn't during an instructional flight, perhaps so. But I suspect we've all not quite woken up to understand the full impact of the EASA rule changes yet.

BTW - This is the first Night Rating recorded for the year, since they changed the name from Night Qualification that is. Hope we can see a few more before the end of the year!

Completed my PPL skills test yesterday. Thanks to the forum for its invaluable help.

Now for the EASA paperwork to actually get the licence!

1st Solo - another one!

Postby subirg » Mon Nov 19, 2012 12:27 pm

First contribution to this thread for me... hopefully more to come!

Managed to get my first solo done this weekend at Manchester City (aka Barton) in a C152. Took me 17 hours training time over 8 elapsed months. Am well pleased and excited to be moving on to a new chapter of training! Nav here we come.

Didn't get much flying in during the summer but since the start of September, I've got back focussed on it and managed to fly when the weather has allowed. Today, I passed my skills test :)

Definitely one of the hardest things I've done, but very satisfying and an awful lot of fun!!

49hrs 15min, 155 landings and one MASSIVE great smile on my face :D
