Re: yet another ppl blogNo flying Today, I'm afraid. Too gusty (13 kts gusting 30), and I don't like trying to land T2002JF upside down.

Good to see you back in the left seat, hope you can continue and achieve your goal.
When I thought about finally learning to fly I Googled for info and found your blog which inspired me to go for it. I found reading your blog and following your highs and lows was both entertaining and informative. During my own journey since September 2011 I have re-read it as I progressed and some of it I could have written my self, the experiences are so familiar. Downside is partly because of you I am now almost penniless Upside, I am staring my QXC in the face(Weather permitting of course). Hope to bump into you at the club sometime and I'll buy you a coffee if I can afford one now
Re: yet another ppl blogNo problem, I'm glad my scrubblings were useful for someone else besides me. Always a pleasure to hear that.
I read loads of other blogs before I started that have helped me, and decided to contribute to the entropy. --

Re: yet another ppl blogSurely there's an app for improving the weather? I understand Apple tidied up a number of inconvenient roads, so they must be able to do the same to the sky?

Re: yet another ppl blogBit of an update.
So I'm getting ready for fly-out tomorrow (if weather permits) to either south west of Ireland (father Ted's home!), or Edinburgh. Because we're flying out of Newtownards, and it isn't designated airport - you need to fill out GAR forms (http://www.psni.police.uk/index/advice- ... n_form.htm) . I suppose, this in case some pesky Irish wants to bring in some explosives into NI over air, etc. So this is my first time I've sent GAR forms. Yay. Nothing complicated Otherwise, listening to Air Law audiobook, cos I'll have to take that exam again --

Re: yet another ppl blogStill can't get over one thing I said during the fly-out. I think it was to scottish or prestwick approach, I acknowledged using "affirmative" instead of "affirm". What a muppet ...
