Welcome back to the air.
Use GPS Visualizer, Track options > Altitude mode & Colorize by to get height shown on your kml tracks.
Re: yet another ppl blogThis time seriously. Booked 3 lessons in December (hope the weather will be ok). That also means, I'm converting over to fly on Tecnams instead of C-152. G-BNKR is gone (at least from UFC, no idea what is its current fate).
Will see how I'll like Tecnam P2002 aircraft over C-152 or even 172. Thanks guys. --

Re: yet another ppl blogUFC don't have C152 anymore. The choice is between C172 and P2002. The difference is £30/h.

Re: yet another ppl blogFellow students. I have to say something.
Start writing up about your experiences, blog or not, you don't have to share it with everyone - but it's a great source of information for yourself, if you'd want to recall some things, or you just had a long break in flying. I'm reading my own one now and there's so much information there, loads of helpful comments, etc . I wouldn't probably sell it as a book, cos no one would buy it - but otherwise - at least for my own benefit, it helps to recall all these things that I've done in the past, and all the advice I got from instructors and I managed to write down. Not to mention, its encouraging for new comers. Just thought I'd share this thought --

Good update.
Just one thing
Could you not look out of the window, or are they not visible from P1 seat? Rob P Forum Diversity & Equality Officer (unpaid)

Re: yet another ppl blogThe flaps? It would be easier to look at the gauge, flaps are well behind p1 seat.
What I liked in the c152 was multiposition switch with mechanical feedback/indicator. All I had to do was to move that switch to appropriate position. In the tecnam I have to look down to see indicator that's also on the other side of the panel. Approach suggested by instructor was to count. So 3 seconds to extend flaps to take off position (I'm guessing that's 10 deg). I know I'll get used to it, but from pure ergonomics point of view this seems to be pure madness. I did fly c172 once in the republic with that sort of flaps interface and my thoughts were exactly the same. I'll take few pics to show it tomorrow (if god of weather will be so kind ). Thanks for comments Rob --

As they are on the RV But I still set them visually. Just as I check the fuel by eye. Gauges can lie. Rob P Forum Diversity & Equality Officer (unpaid)
