Ponting gets the boot

I see that Ponting has been dropped by the Aussie selectors from their ODI squad. I admire his batting record, although I have never had much regard for his attitude towards umpiring decisions and his often unsportsmanlike demeanour towards the opposition on the field. I wonder if he wouldn't have been better advised to follow his predecessors and retire gracefully when he lost the captaincy? At 37 it seems unlikely he will be coming over here again, and I had half-anticipated seeing him get slaughtered by Finn at Lord's this summer.

Still up for selection for the Test side, so let's hope we get to see the Burnley Express terrorising him one more time.....
