A good clear out following the last two debacles has seen the recall of stalwarts.

They do seem to have a well thought out and consistent selection policy, not! Very kind of them to give us another edge.

I heard someone say that Australia will become the number holiday destination for Brits next year, so we can rub it in like they usually do to us!

I was in a microbrewery in Fremantle yesterday - they were advertising a beer called 'Next Australian Spin Bowler'.

Aussies seem very keen to talk about the weather at the moment!
I know it's a silly username. If you've met me, I probably introduced myself as Josh...

Indeed, well done the Aussies (well particularly 2) for some fighting spirit aided by an England who never seemed to apply the lessons of history.

My father seems to think it is all because of an agreement to ensure financial viability of the series. If England had already retianed the Ashes the last two tests would lose a lot of money. Wish I could be sure!

As long as they dont dig up the Perth pitch and move it to Melbourne we should still win.

In a strange way it was a good result as it means the series is competitive and hence not devalued.

Sport is like a box of chocolates........

As nice as it is to believe that's the reason we lost, the theory fails on two counts (just in my opinion though obviously).

1. I can't see Australia conceding they've lost the series after just two tests (particularly at home, to England).
2. I can't see England agreeing to lose a game and trusting Australia to return the favour later.
