Perhaps Sundays slog fest is not the best way measure of the gentlemans talent but I do wonder......

To be fair he's a talented player who is just out of form at international level, (a bit like Hughes for Australia). I have said before that he was flattered by his performances against a weak WI side earlier in the year, (again like Hughes when he played for Middx). I don't think we have seen the best of either of them yet, and both will be back playing for their respective countries in the future. In the meantime they both need to go back to basics and examine their techniques. I would have dropped Bopara during the Ashes, but knowing the England selectors they will probably stick with him.

Not a great 20x20 fan, but weren't the Australians lucky on Sunday to be saved by the rain like that?

I don't rate him from what I've seen so far.
