OK, so now we have the Ashes back, how are we going to do in the one dayers?

Judging by the squads that have been selected, not very well. We'll probably lose the 20x20's, although they are a bit of a lottery anyway; England don't seem to have a clue about how to play them. We will probably lose the ODI series overall, although I expect to win some of the matches. Of course Australia can't take anything for granted in the New World Order.

Personally, I think 7 ODI matches is way too many and sheer greed on the part of the administrators.

Yes, I agree, injuries have already taken their toll.

Whatever happens with the Aussies, I think we are in real trouble when we go to SA this winter. I cant help feeling they will prove to be in a different league.

Maybe, although it is always hard to make any real judgements when games are so rain affected, with reduced overs. Ireland played their innings like a 20x20 rather than a ODI, which for them, in effect, it was. Nice to see Bopara getting some form back though. I hope the penny has now dropped with the selectors.

I see that today's ODI, Scotland / Australia in Edinburgh, is being shown live on BBC2 Scotland. BBC Northern Ireland showed no interest in showing the England game, much less the mainstream BBC channels. I despair for the BBC which seems to be like the government - no interest in anything English except its taxes.
