The 1st Test

Postby nimbusj15 » Wed Jul 08, 2009 7:45 am

Good morning and welcome to the Ist match of this seasons Ashes Series. There's a vat of leek soup simmering at the back of the commentary box, and we await the announcements regarding team selection.

Come on Russ time to out and show your self

There is an Aussie who works in our office who is biogging it up big style - I hope England are about to deflate him!

Is that a Ginger Cake - is there any Sauternes to set it off?

3 wickets down...your Aussie mate should be pleased...until he tries the leek soup.

Probably a respectable score but was Petersen doing, Flintoff could be considered as clumsy.

I've been locked in a windowless airless corporate meeting room all day and as a result we've nearly lost already :-(

Is it Fish on Fridays?

Marinaded raw herring in cream and white wine sauce with onions, shallots and the rest, crisp seedy baguette, a lump of Roquefort, and a glass or several of Chablis - all to be enjoyed while sitting on the grass. I think M's found some strawberries, raspberries and a meringue nest or several, plus a large pot of cream.

'Tis a tough life being a pensioner, but someone has to do it.

I understand there's also cricket happening.

If you turn the heat off you could pretend it is Vichyssoise

I dare not look at the scoreboard!
