Owner maintenance on a CAA CofA?

Postby ADP » Sun Dec 23, 2012 7:32 pm

Evening all,

Could anyone tell me if owner maintenance can be carried out on an aircraft with a CAA Certificate of Airworthiness, and if so which inspections?

Many thanks,

Adrian

Anything that you’re CAMO / engineer will let you do. Some will let owners do most of the labour and just do the inspections and paperwork, but this is not common.

Yes, there are two questions - how much can you do with a suitable signoff by a qualified person? Almost everything. How much can you sign off yourself? In the link I guess though I haven't clicked on it!
