wef 19 Jun until 22 Jun, Ascot Helicopter departures will pass about 2nm west of Fairoaks southbound so keep a good lookout if you're departing via Knaphill.
The recent fuel problems have been resolved at lower prices than before.
The airport is now operated by 'Fairoaks Operations Ltd' not 'Fairoaks Airport Ltd'.

Fuel bowsers now have their own credit card machines so if you uplift fuel, stay with the aircraft and you can pay the re-fueller rather than make the tortuous climb to the tower! Regretfully you still have to pay landing fees in the tower though unless you have an account.

Airport closed from 1211111100 to 1211111102.
Bowsers once again cannot access the grass so all refuelling has to be done on hard surface.
Grass parking east of Twy 'A' just north of 'B' intersection temporarily withdrawn due waterlogging.

All grass surfaces now very soggy, so make sure you don't put a wheel on the grass when parking.

Aren't the LTFC aeroplanes parked on the grass? Or have they been moved to a hard surface for the duration?

Yes; No. The pre-flight includes digging the aircraft out where it has sunk into the mud.

Even the grass area adjacent to the 'tower' is now too soggy for aircraft, so please phone before visiting as you could be parked somewhere on a hard surface where you wouldn't normally go; helps us plan ahead for parking too!

I've suggested to 'der management' that landing and parking fees be put on the new website at http://www.fairoaksairport.co.uk
Visitors should be aware that parking is only charged for night stops so you can (theoretically) land at 8am and depart at 6pm and only be charged a landing fee.

All grass areas now available for parking again and bowsers can re-fuel on grass areas too. If you have an account from which landing fee will be paid, please stay with the aircraft for re-fuel and pay with your card at the bowser.
