March issue Nflightcam+

Postby G-BLEW » Sat Jan 28, 2012 9:26 am

We reviewed the Nflightcam+ in the March issue, if you want to see a little bit of the video for yourself here's a link to a short Quicktime movie. The file from the camera was uploaded into iMovie, edited and then saved out at HD quality. It's a big file, so best to right click and save it locally. It is possible to get even higher resolution (iMovie's default 'suggestion' is to slightly downsample when loading the raw film) but file sizes get very large indeed.

Here's a YouTube link to the same video. Although obviously the quality won't be the same thanks to the processing.

Ian,
Was the 8x faster done on the camera or during editting?

Ton
Ps video reminds my of a few flights i made from Merritt Islands, direct after the runway...water. Great flying there!

Hi Ton

It was done during editing, not in the camera.

Nice. I'm slightly intrigued - how was the camera mounted?

I used a suction mount on the window near the sun visor. You can see its shadow just after landing.
