We got to Florida the week before Sun n Fun. Two days before the show opened we were sitting at Winter Haven chatting to Lowell Hinchee of Foundation Flyers. At 2pm the skies opened and it rained, and rained, and rained. We found out later that Winter Haven got over five inches of rain that afternoon.

This meant that Sun n Fun at nearby Lakeland also got a lot of rain. For a while it became Mud n Fun.

We popped in the day before the show opened. Lots of pushing and aeroplane cleaning in evidence. I can't say that I am a huge fan of the EADS and Mooney paint schemes.

There are all sorts at Sun n Fun...
Warbirds

This beautiful NXT racer

The Compair 12, a big turboprop that is just starting the certification process. Not the most beautiful aeroplane at the show IMHO

True Flight Aerospace bought Tiger Aircraft and intend to put the AA5B back into production, complete with Garmin G1000. I'm not sure I can see many sales, it's a good aircraft but things have moved on.

God's obviously busy and now has a hand in racing!

Chopper Town was a million miles away from almost everywhere, but anyone who made it would have found
A small two-seat turbine...

...and if that is too big, here's a single-seat turbine

But Sun n Fun is also about the people
Caption competition?

The Vans LSA

and to finish with, some of Oli's arty shots
