Looking for a share in the west sussex area

Postby Marcuss11 » Thu Sep 27, 2012 7:58 pm

Hi I ve finally saved up enough to start looking for a share. Ideally in the west sussex area. Beggars can't be choosers on what aircraft however I need it to have a half decent payload. Low equity is important (ideally £1000 max) and fairly cheap running costs. I have 60 hours so far and have experience in farm strip flying if that helps.
Thanks in advance and would be grateful for any information.

Right, if we each chip in £1,000 what can we get?

Well depends on how many there are of us. For around 10 you could get a piper colt or something.

I'd rather pay more and keep the number of people low - a VERY interesting idea though.

He but if you were keeping it at shoreham for instance (however would much prefer a farm strip) if there was only 4 or 5 guys your looking at fairly large monthly cost. At least if there's 10-12 of you the costs are more realistic. :)

Shares in the Sussex area

Postby Nick68 » Thu Oct 25, 2012 4:06 pm

Good afternoon,

Forgive me for butting in but I have just come across your thread and thought I may be able to help!
I have a variety of aircraft available that can be positioned at Shoreham shortly. 1 X 152s, 2 X 150s 2 X Mooney’s 1 XPA28s 1X Seneca twin; these are available on a non Equity basis. Could even provide you with a plane and everything you need if you wanted to create your own group!

Let me know if any of this is of interest

See -website for details and pics http://www.avbase.co.uk

Kind Regards

Nick

Just to let you know that The Shiny Colt group runs at up to 8 members and still rarely clocks more than 150 hours in a decent weather year. Availability has hardly ever been an issue.

If you were talking not too high a price per share I might be interested, especially if you were able to look just over the border in Hants, there is a strip just behind where I live and think there is an empty hangar!

At Liss, just off the A3, do not have details, though have walked it and know it is long and good surface, so if anyone knows this strip and has contact nos I would be interested.

Next summer (2014) or this summer? I can try and find some more details if you want. I also have contacts at the Frensham strip, think the hangar is full ATM but may be outside space to start off.
Also, if you need an instructor/LAA coach in this area I can help out there.
