Looking for a group in West Yorkshire

I would not dismiss Sherburn as being too far to travel.
I was based at Crosland Moor for 6 years (Beagle Pup group) and have have now been based at Sherburn for 14 years.
Traveling from Halifax takes 45 min when there are no roadworks/accidents on the M62.
It very much depends on the type of flying you intend to undertake - I run a complex single group (C182) so the availability of on-site maintenance, avgas, hangarage and superb clubhouse outweigh the occasional bad journey on the 62. One of my group actually lives in South Crosland (1/2 mile from the airfield!).
