Looking for a group in West Yorkshire

Anyone out there have a share in a group available in the west yorkshire area. Or, maybe anyone out there interested in starting a group ?

May seem far but not a lot of level ground in West Yorkshire that hasn't been built on so few airfields.

It is a bit far - 65 miles to be precise. Can't see me making that journey very often - thanks for the pointer though

Sherburn appear to have a share in a very nice Cessna 150. Check their website. But may be no nearer to you

clearly we are missing something here then - we are both in a similar area so should start our own share more locally!!

The only airfield in my immediate area is Crosland Moor,which has no Avgas on site and supports mainly microlights.

Then there's Manchester Barton, but its not Yorkshire so will need travel documents/visa.

Unless you mean Leeds Bradford? Anyone based there will be immediately under review by HMRC.

Crossland moor has only a handful of microlights - I was there just the other day. There is a Vans, a jodel and lotslfmother non-microlight aircraft. It also advertises a gas for aircraft based there.

Barton is a bit of a trek and LBA holds no interest for me. I did loads there a while back. I prefer something a little smaller

Sherburn is 45 miles away (an hour) which means in reality I probably wouldn't ge the use I was looking for. Also - that link doesn't seem to work

Crossland moor has avgas but you are supposed to be based there. If you could get hangarage then starting a share there would be popular but hangar space is very rare.

There are several shares currently available at Crosland Moor - both on the website and posted in the caravan. I also know of at least one at Oxenhope.
Yes, Avgas is for based aircraft only.
