Nice photos.

A friend is a Chinook pilot who has done a few tours in Kandahar, so the first photo is poignant...in fact I think he's there now. Several forumites met him at one of Frank's Daventry evenings a year or so back.

The UAV is heading towards the camera, coming in for a landing.

Impressive stuff - what's causing the 'bent rotor blades' effect on the big white heli? Soory, was always carp at plane spotting, even worse with egg whisks. :?

I assume that its just beacause of the weight of the aircraft. Its an Mi26 and is one of the largest helicopters (maybe the largest?) and often came in loaded up with a LOT of equiptment.

The weight and the length of the blades make them flex. It is a Mil-26 as stated too. Great shots I've got to say to, would love to see more.
