AOPA Wings Scheme & Free Student Membership

Postby Mike Cross » Sun Feb 10, 2008 5:29 pm

Student pilots can join AOPA UK and receive "General Aviation" Magazine free of charge. Click here to join.

The AOPA Wings Awards offer a structured path to recognition of post-PPL achievement. Starting with Bronze Wings, available to all PPL holders, whether AOPA members or not, they progress through Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. For details please click here. It's worth also taking a look at the other options under the heading of "Training & Development"

Finally, if anyone has photos suitable for brightening up the AOPA website please email them to info "at" aopa.co.uk (you know how to format that).

Joined AOPA 3 days ago as a free student member, hopefully I'll be able to be a fully signed up member in the not too distant future. I was very impressed with the speed that my application was processed and also the information received with my welcome pack. I look forward to learning more about AOPA and following the wings scheme.

I would urge other students to give it a go! Im impressed so far!

Very fast reply to my registration, if you are learning to fly its certainly worth the few minutes it takes to register. Just need to find where I put the welcome pack when I rearranged the living room for the new sofa!

I joined AOPA before Xmas and found the information in the magazines very interesting.
I am pleased to be able to support the good work that is being done by the Association. Thank you for a very informative joining pack.
The forums are also interesting reading.
Thank you. :D
