Gary no Moore

Postby Morley » Mon Feb 07, 2011 5:26 pm

Legendary guitarist GM died on Sunday allegedly choking on his own vom in a hotel room. (according to The Sun)
I remember booking a studio he was doing one of his albums in. He had it for a month but I had booked the control room to mix an album. The whole sound stage was filled with an array of Marshall amps linked together. A real trouser flapper!

Great guitar player. I had the privelege of working with him a couple of times. And the Scum got it wrong as usual. He died of a heart attack. The over- indulgence was a glass of champagne with his evening meal.

I was listening to 'Close as you get' on Monday evening. Stunning album. Sad loss.
