What a shame that your article on the Centurion 2.0S engine (August 2012) overlooked the cost of maintenance during the engine's life as this has a significant effect on the cost comparison between running Avgas engines and the Centurion.
Gearbox, clutch and components that require maintenance (which means replacement) during the life of the engine make a huge dent in any saving made by fuel cost and fuel efficiency.
These engines may be the future for many aircraft (and I am a fan of the Centurion engine and have flown behind a few of them) but, for an accurate comparison, owners need to know the cost over the life of the engine. I think you will find that the difference between the fuel costs over the life of an Avgas versus Centurion engine still favour the Avgas burner when maintenance is taken into account.

Centurion Engines - cost of maintenanceRoads? Where we're going, we don't need roads!
Re: Centurion Engines - cost of maintenanceI'd think you'd be justified in putting this over on the GA forum where it might get more attention. After all, the GA forum could do with some genuine GA topics but is currently swamped with Skydemon FAQs, Olympics, Atlas and anything remotely linked to GA such as mobile phones' readability and printers.
