Ipad version Flyer Mag via Apple newsstand

Postby peterlondon » Fri Mar 16, 2012 9:34 pm

Maybe just me but I just tried to read Flyer on the ipad3 via Apple newsstand and it just keeps crashing.

It used to work fine on my ipad1.

Not sure I'm allowed to say this here but Pilot mag via the newsstand app on the ipad3 works fine and the effect is awesome. The hi res display really brings out the quality of the photography.

It's a lovely app though. I switched to that from the printed version so I can look at back issues etc. Really shines on the iPad and saves the pile of old magazines!

Great work Ian! Thanks.

HI

I too had an issue with the iPad 3. I deleted the app and then re-installed which sorted it. Sadly, if you have a bunch of past issues you will have to load them again too (you won't have to pay again).

I will talk to the developers tomorrow to see what can be done.

Sorry about that :-(

Thanks

Ian

Ian

Thanks for the tip, I deleted the app and reloaded it it and I can now read the current issue.

As you predicted all of the back issues now need to be downloaded again.

Worth the effort though as one can now have a bookcase worth of flying related reading available to read where ever you are.

"Print" quality of the Flyer magazine on the retina display on the new iPad is fab.
