Google Chrome malware warning.Chrome is having a hissy fit this evening about flyer.co.uk
"Warning: Something's Not Right Here! forums.flyer.co.uk contains content from www.flyer.co.uk, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site. Google has found that malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed. Why not try again tomorrow or go somewhere else?" Something nasty in the adverts again? I'm here at the field....I fight for my meals...I get my Yak into my living......
It also claims
so I imagine someone's already on the case!
These Google warnings are automated, and the WHOIS entry for the Flyer domain doesn't give a direct email contact - just a postal address in Bath, so the Google Malware Bot probably fired off a few emails to a few guessed-at email addresses in the domain - no guarantee that they would get directly to the relevant folk though. I'm here at the field....I fight for my meals...I get my Yak into my living......
Hi everyone,
The malicious code has been removed and we are just waiting for google to rescan. The code was located on the www.flyer.co.uk files not the forums. Unfortunately once google has confirmed malicious code in the TLD it propagates to all subdomains, which is why you are getting a warning here for an error with www.flyer.co.uk. Hopefully normal service should be resumed shortly Regards Liam

In some cases, third parties can add malicious code to legitimate sites, which would cause us to show the warning message.
We had the same thing happen to the West London Aero Club site recently but I was quite impressed with how quickly Google rescanned the site once I had removed the maliciously added code.

Re: Flyer Website Reported Attack PageWhy does the Flyer website seem to be more susceptible to these attacks than other sites?
