I've been meaning to get something sorted for a while (well ages) - I'll get some small, subtle pin badges made along with some other forum branded bits and pieces,

As a shy retiring soul I would wear something small and subtle recogniseable to other forumites, but definitely not something brash which might give the impression I was trying to impress the world at large. Much as I yearn for Flyer epaulettes, I just wouldn't be brave enough....

Flyer Forum colour lanyards would work - with a badge at the clip end, or keys, or nothing, at the option of the wearer.
Is there a plan here?

I like Ian's pin badge idea. Anyway I could do with something to stop my tie flapping about when I am at work. Oops given away my age. Modern trendy men only wear jacket and open collar so I'm told...

I just thought that, at those airports that insist on hi-viz vests, it could kill two birds with one stone (or is it the other way round...?).

At the risk of being 'elfinsafety' - I wouldn't buy a lanyard that didn't have a 'breakaway' or two built into it, ideally around the back of the collar. Personally, I don't like wearing ID badges and therefore lanyards for any longer than I have to, it make me feel like I am back at work!
Lapel pin and / or small cloth badge (that you could iron or sew onto any arrarel you fancy) would be ideal.

I would go with a "Flyer" baseball cap, little bit surprised the Flyer Shop doesn't already have one of those...

I hope I have the ideal solution, how about a Flyer charity wristband and proceeds could go to Help the Hero's?

I suppose a secret hand shake is out of the question? I favour the lanyard, I could stick the airfield ID on it. A baseball cap just screams of mid-life crisis, convertible and receding hairline.

At least 2 batches of 'Flyer List' baseball caps were commissioned; mine is still my normal flying (and other aviation occasions) headwear Design: black top, beige brim on front of top: 'Flyer List' logo, in Flyer font, in gold 'Total Aviation person', smaller font, in red small embroidered image of a PA28 (sorry!) in white There are several other Listers or former Listers among Forumites, including Keef, Timothy, Lefty, KentishFledgeling ..

...and indeed I had one of those hats, but long since lost, I am afraid. I find the best thing is to get your picture all over the aviation press, then people come up to you and introduce themselves all the time ...or do as I do and have a picture of yourself as your avatar.
