Agreed. If it becomes subconscious habit, setting wrong QNH can affect how you're vertically separated from others in CAS as well as messing up your instrument approach profiles.

Assuming 500ft separation from someone else, 5mb puts you 150ft out.......

Hi Steve,

I know that you only wrote that as a joke but think that, as you post here under the same handle about some of your instructor work and experiences, you may want to consider that there may be some inexperienced or lurking students/folks who think that is actually a very good idea.

Some people see instructors as sky-gods.
