Nice to see everyone today, and well done Jim, Pat and helpers. I had a couple of very enthusiastic kids who both had a go at driving which was great, had to dash off as another trip would have required a refuelling and delay which, with another band of rain coming in, could have caused me problems this evening, as it happens the rain did not materialise except for some interesting squalls but there you go.

Some pics of G-SWON and of my trip home, just missing the rain

See you next year!

Yes indeed - excellent day, and well done Jim and Pat.

Nice to have a natter with a few people I don't see often enough, and to meet a few old friends for the first time, too!

Dunno if it's just me, but the kids seemed more enthusiastic this year than last.

Yes the day went well, dunno why but it semed to take longer to do the route this year

Thank you to all who made it. and the efforts you made were much appreciated

I think the kids enjoyed it more than before, the questions from them were much informed and their flying experiance showed judging by feedback. Sorry everyone had to shoot off, but understand the imperative.

I have two hiz viz jackets and one booster seat left over anyone missing anything.

We are just chilling at the moment

Be back on-line tomorrow

Thanks to Jim & Pat and all involved. An excellent day, I hope the kids enjoyed it as much as I did...

must say I really enjoyed the day
the kids all seemed pleased to be flying
and all were great in saying thanks - and sounding like they meant it
just a few words but makes it all so worth while

also hats off to Jim, Pat and all the other un-named organisers
soooooooooo much better than the previous day at Popham (sorry Popham!)

put me down for next year!

and as Keef so nicely put it - good to finally meet people I've been "chatting" to for ages

The comment "Flyer Forum Live!" rather summed up the chitchat at end of play!

Always nice to meet known and new (to me) forumites! (And in some cases fly their aeroplanes -- cheers Keef! ;-)"

Great day, the kids seemed to have a great time and were very enthusiastic.
Thanks to MMCP42 for giving Talya a trip at the end of the day, she really enjoyed it.
Good to see forumites again/for the first time and see the lively banter continue in 'Live' mode!
I will sort out the Video early next week, in the meantime I ave uploaded some photos here (Most taken by Talya):

I logged engine start to engine stop for each sortie (I'm anal like that).

First time off, when a load of us went in a block, I slowed down to fit in with the flow, and then still had to orbit three times - and took 40 minutes. The kids loved the orbits!

Second time, not so busy, one orbit and 35 minutes.

Third time, straight round the circuit with no faffing, 25 minutes.

Probably hard to do with all the kids enthusiastic and all, but if there's a way to stagger takeoffs - about the duration of the period in the box should do it...
